In the year following Obama's inauguration, the U.S. economy lost about 4.3 million jobs. But new figures released Thursday show 4.4 million jobs have been added back since then.
The labor department recalculates job numbers as they get more data. They are saying that they under counted jobs from 2011.
Don't think this means that the economy is great. No one is saying that. However, it is creeping in the right direction and getting slowly better.
